Details:

Note date change: we have switched weekends with Zurich H3, for reasons mostly concerning Basel mismanagement absences on the 8th.

Also please note new start time. There is no suitable train connection for a 2pm start.

A - B run. A is Habsheim railway station. Bag car provided. As usual with our experienced hares, the trail is children- and pram-friendly, and there is a walkers trail. The bag car will be following, so if anyone is tired, injured or just lazy, they can always jump in.

B is the Hares' Hole in Landser, 4 Rue des Ecrins. After circle, food, and drink, those using public transport share taxi(s) to Basel Airport (15 mins) and, from there, take the bus to the Basel SBB rail station.

(Switzerland became a member of the Schengen Area in December 2008, so travel within the common border area no longer involves passport checks at Swiss airports. But carry some personal ID.)

As August 1st is Switzerland's National Day, there will be a great fireworks show the night before. We have been able to arrange pole-position seating at the Dragon Boat Club, under the Wettsteinbrucke. Please let us know if you would like to attend. Crash space will be arranged for overnight stayers. RSVP to hare-raiser "DickAlone": Martin.Holt@clariant.com

Garden Gnome writes: "I will be r--ing at the Basler Bruggelauf (10 miler) this year (Sunday 9th Aug) http://tinyurl.com/lw2oly

Just wondered if any other H3-ers will be taking part - and fancy going for restorative beverage / nosh or so afterwards? nick.steven@balcab.ch ".

Further ahead: Eleanor "Rosie Cheeks" Low will be starring in another musical production from Upstart Entertainment, who have always produced fun shows. September's is called "Twist & Shout". See www.twistandshout.ch
