Note the date and time: not the usual second Saturday of the month, nor the usual time: the French train schedule determines our meeting time.

Start point, and bag car: Sierentz railway station.

Train from Basel SBB at 14:43, from platform 4 (but do recheck!) Allow plenty of time to buy your ticket: the French ticket machine is difficult to drive! The Swiss ticket counter will sell you a ticket, but at a "special" price. Alternatively, get yourself to the Bahnhof St Johann, where there is a simpler, dual-currency, machine. To get there from the SBB, use the airport bus, no. 50, to Im Wasenboden. Follow the bus to the roundabout, turn right, walk 100 metres along the bridge, cross the road, and descend to the platform. The train leaves at 14:48.

Run will be A to B, where B is the On Inn at the Hare's Hole, 4 Rue des Ecrins, Landser.

Food, the odd beer and a drop of wine will be provided, and the cost shared. Bring euros.

Return to Basel in a shared taxi to the airport (15 mins) and then bus to the SBB. The run is in France, so don't forget to carry your passports.
