From the south via Mulhouse - take the N66 towards Thann, then the N83 towards Colmar. Then take the exit marked Cernay Nord, turn left over the main road, then left again at the roundabout. Take the third road on the left and then turn right along Rue des Fabriques. The entrance to the Auberge de Jeunesse is on this road. Follow the noise.
From the north via Colmar, you should also end up on the N83, and leave the main road at the same exit, but from the north the exit is called Cernay Centre (hey, this is France!), turn right, then left again at the roundabout. Take the third road on the left and then turn right along Rue des Fabriques. The entrance to the Auberge de Jeunesse is on this road.
Travellers by train can reach Cernay via Mulhouse. There will be a HHH trail set from the railway station to the venue. See the online timetable.
Of course; if you're arriving at Basel airport, then we can probably arrange a pick-up for you. Crash space is also an option. .
Arriving at BSL, right after you proceed through the baggage claim area you get a choice of whether you want to enter France or Switzerland. From the French side, you can take a bus (or taxi) to Mulhouse train station and from there a train to Cernay.
From the Swiss side, there are buses to the "Basel SBB" train station every 15-20 minutes, and there are also quite frequent trains to Cernay, via Mulhouse. You would need some Swiss coins to feed the ticket machine to get to Basel SBB.
If someone is picking you up, then please exit through the French side.
Making your way there from ZRH is easy, too. There are frequent trains from Zürich Flughafen to Basel SBB (Swiss francs would be needed), and from there you can pick up a train to Cernay, via Mulhouse.
