It's Mother's Day, and what better way to celebrate than shaking what your Mama gave you at a Hash! Offers to participate in the end circle booty-shaking extravaganza should be directed towards the Hare, Bareback, at 078 849 83 40.
Bus 36 or a short 1km walk from the Badischer Bahnhof to the Schorenweg stop, follow flour trail to the start. The Hare doesn't own a car so has no idea how on-street parking works in Basel, but there seems to also be a parking lot.
A to A runners and walkers trails, bag vehicle will be provided. Walkers trail is buggy friendly. The Hare will do her best to ensure you get lost on trail in the wilds of Lange Erlen and Deutschland, so bring an ID if you care about that sort of thing.
On-after TBD, depending on the weather (help the RA do a non-rain dance so we can BBQ!).
Personal note from On-Sec Mealticket, on his battle against lung cancer - feel free to ignore!
Tomorrow I undergo drainage of the fluid from around the lung. The op. is invasive, and I may be in hospital all week, but still preferable to any other "standard" cancer treatment. They already stopped my Avastin infusions in January because the drug was considered contributory to the appearance of a pulmonary embolism. So my only treatment now is a daily tablet of Tarceva (at $120 a pop – thank you Roche, and the Swiss medical insurance system!)
Anyway, I feel confident enough to have just signed up for Eurohash 2013 –see you there!?!
