Lock up your bathrooms... Bog Hog is back

Heidi (ex-BSH3 harriette Bog Hog) and family will be visiting Switzerland

next month, so there will be a get-together at a restaurant just over the border from Basel on Saturday 5th. July.

There will be a an A to B run from 3 PM, starting at the bus stop St. Chrischona (bus 32 from Riehen)

There is very likely to be a bag car to transport your change of underwear to point B.

NOTE: This might be your only chance for a Basel area run in July!

the closest station to the Wirtshaus am Rhein is Grenzach, which

is the first stop on the Regionalbahn from Basel Badischer Bahnhof.

Note: on Saturdays there is a reduced train service (one an hour),

the best connection is at 17:47. If you miss this train go to the Wettsteinplatz and take bus 38 at 18:26 to the stop 'Sparkasse',

which is 200m. from Grenzach station. From Grenzach station head towards the Rhein, then follow the road left along the Rheinallee to the Wirtshaus. It's a bit of a hike

(1.3 km / 15 min.) but the Wirtshaus has excellent food, the best

beer in the region and prices about 20% lower than in Switzerland.

Returning from the Wirtshaus is easier, a taxi back to the swiss border (where there are buses to Basel) costs about 12 Euros.

time to get home.
